Discover The Heart Of Lake Sunapee
Founded in 1902 by a dozen avid sailors, Lake Sunapee Yacht Club (LSYC) has grown from its modest beginnings of just 40 to 50 families to a membership of over 400. In 1924, dedicated members voted to purchase our current property and erect the building that continues to welcome generations of lake enthusiasts. Our members celebrate the time honored tradition of sailing, enjoying social and summertime activities while prioritizing our stewardship of the natural beauty of our lake. For over a century, LSYC has been a cherished gathering place where members create lasting memories and celebrate the beauty of New Hampshire’s most iconic lake. Our private club offers a sanctuary for relaxation, connection, and adventure.
From exhilarating sailing regattas to lessons in tennis, swimming, and sailing, capped off with evening dining on our scenic terrace, every moment here is steeped in tradition and community spirit. Members relish gourmet dinners, refine their skills in our various programs, or simply soak in the view. LSYC is more than a destination—it’s where friendships are forged and memories made.

Our swim community offers lessons for all ages, and exciting annual events like the time honored tradition of Reds and Blues and Swim-a-Thons,. Whether they’re learning new strokes or building confidence in the water, members forge lasting bonds through every splash.

With five green clay courts and programs for all skill levels, our tennis community helps members stay active through weekly skills and drills, round robins, youth lessons and friendly tournaments, like the Annual Club Championships. It’s the perfect blend of skill-building and camaraderie.

A Culinary Destination
Members indulge in Friday’s famous prime rib or enjoy the Wednesday Family Night Buffet, offering something for every palate. With a full-service bar in the Commodores Lounge, each meal at LSYC becomes a memorable occasion.
