Lake Sunapee Yacht Club, with a wide variety of food and drink options, including a full-service bar, has a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere which makes it the ideal place for families and friends to meet for dinner, a drink or to catch the local entertainment.
LSYC provides evening dining and entertainment on Wednesday’s (family night) and on the weekend with a few events mid-week throughout the season. Dining options during season typically include:
•Wednesday family cookout
•Friday “tavern night” with our famous prime rib buffet, full salad bar and full dessert bar
•Saturday themed dinners
•Sunday brunch
•Sunday grill night
LSYC also provides lunch and snack options 7 days a week and a staffed commodores lounge with alcohol open afternoons and evenings Thursday thru Sunday. The Commodore Lounge is designed in a unique Mediterranean Revival style architecture.
Meet our chef
Tim Burke
Education: Chef Burke graduated from Johnson and Wales University with a major Culinary Arts. He later attended the University of New Haven for Club Management.
Experience: Like many aspiring chef’s, Chef Burke’s career started in a small local family restaurant, which led to a fine dining cornerstone in South Western Rhode Island, named The Red Rooster Tavern. For a short time, he worked within the hotel industry which then led employment at private clubs. For twenty-years, Chef Burke worked with a top ten rated golf course, The Country Club of Fairfield, CT. This past winter (2021-2022), he enjoyed a culinary opportunity with The Key Largo Angler’s Club, Key Largo, FL. The Chef’s cooking skills enabled him to compete twice in the ACF culinary competitions held in Boston and Philadelphia where he took a number of first place and ACF National medals.
Personal: Chef Burke enjoys great outdoor activities such as kayaking, bicycling, hiking and skiing. He is married to Mary, a physical therapist specializing in pediatrics.
Passion: Chef Burke contributes to the local community in a variety of ways including food banks, town voting office, CERT, The American Red Cross. He has also held supervisory positions with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
